Offering Many Holistic Options

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is thousands of years old and has changed little over the centuries. Its basic concept is that a vital force of life, called Qi, surges through the body. Any imbalance to Qi can cause disease and illness. This imbalance is most commonly thought to be caused by an alteration in the opposite and complementary forces that make up the Qi. These are called yin and yang.

Ancient Chinese believed that humans are microcosms of the larger surrounding universe, and are interconnected with nature and subject to its forces. Balance between health and disease is a key concept. TCM treatment seeks to restore this balance through treatment specific to the individual.

It is believed that to regain balance, you must achieve the balance between the internal body organs and the external elements of earth, fire, water, wood, and metal.

Treatment to regain balance may involve:

  • Acupuncture
  • Moxibustion (the burning of herbal leaves on or near the body)
  • Cupping (the use of warmed glass jars to create suction on certain points of the body)
  • Massage
  • Herbal remedies
  • Movement and concentration exercises (such as tai chi)

We treat a wide variety of conditions with these treatments. Each require a different approach and procedure. These include:

ACUPUNCTURE

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is the practice of penetrating the skin with thin, solid, metallic needles which are then activated through gentle and specific movements of the practitioner’s hands or with electrical stimulation.

The human body has more than 2,000 acupuncture points connected by pathways or meridians. These pathways create an energy flow (Qi, pronounced “chee”) through the body that is responsible for overall health. Disruption of the energy flow can cause disease. By applying acupuncture to certain points, it is thought to improve the flow of Qi, thereby improving health.

Studies have shown that acupuncture is effective for a variety of conditions.

MFD

What is Myofascial Decompression?

Myofascial Decompression (MFD) is a novel approach to manual therapy and exercise that combines negative pressure technology with evidence -based movement science principles in orthopedics and sports medicine.

We focus on incorporating cupping therapy to achieve efficiency of motion with fascial mobility and neuromuscular re-education.

ESTIM

What Is Electroacupuncture?

Electroacupuncture is a modern variation of acupuncture. It uses electricity to enhance the benefits of this traditional therapeutic treatment.

Like traditional acupuncture, electroacupuncture uses needles placed in the same spots. Then, a small electrode is attached to the needles. A small amount of electricity runs through the electrode and gives a slight vibration or soft hum during treatment.

NAET

What Are Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Techniques?

NAET® was discovered by Dr. Devi S. Nambudripad in November of 1983. Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Techniques, also known as NAET, are a non-invasive, drug free, natural solution to alleviate allergies of all types and intensities using a blend of selective energy balancing, testing and treatment procedures from acupuncture/acupressure, allopathy, chiropractic, nutritional, and kinesiological disciplines of medicine.

One allergen is treated at a time. If you are not severely immune deficient, you may need just one treatment to desensitize one allergen. A person with mild to moderate amount of allergies may take about 15-20 office visits to desensitize 15-20 food and environmental allergens.

ACUTONICS

What Are Acutonics® Sounds Tools?

The Acutonics® approach to integrative medicine embraces the concept of a musical and undivided universe.

This is a belief found through time, across cultures, and in many spiritual traditions that sound and vibration have the power to heal, create, generate, transform and give birth to new ideas and new consciousness.

What Is Cold Laster Therapy?

Cold Laser Therapy or Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) is a treatment that utilizes specific wavelengths of light to interact with tissue and is thought to help accelerate the healing process.

It can be used on patients who suffer from a variety of acute and chronic conditions in order to help eliminate pain, swelling, reduce spasms and increase functionality.

CUPPING

What Is Cupping Therapy?
